Class to Pass in 3 Weeks

AUTOMATIC DRIVING LESSONS with dtc EDINBURGH

Automatic driving lessons may be appropriate as not everyone can manage  "gears".  Maybe if you have tried to learn in a manual car and found it too difficult or you don't have the time or maybe you have a disability that makes driving a manual car difficult try automatic car driving lessons.

You will need to bear in mind if you pass your test in an automatic car you will not be eligible to drive a manual vehicle unless you do so as a learner driver.  If you pass your driving test in a manual vehicle you are eligible to drive both automatic and manual cars.  Automatic cars have higher fuel costs so automatic driving lessons are slightly more than those for a manual car. Benifits of learning to drive an automatic are:

  1. Less time between lessons – more likely to remember
  2. Get to test standard in a matter of weeks not months
  3. Costs less because of discounted rates
  4. Takes fewer lessons than normal to get to test standard

For many people a intensive driving course provides a quick way of gaining their driving licence. Typically the whole process takes approximately 6 weeks from start to finish depending on when we can get a test date from the local DSA test centre for you.

INTENSIVE DRIVING COURSE - So how does it work?

If you have already had some driving experience we take you on an assessment lesson to determine your current driving ability. This allows us to estimate how many lessons you are likely to need to get to test standard. If you decide to go ahead with the intensive driving course we would take a 50% deposit with the remaining balance due prior to your first driving lesson. Lessons can be paid for in cash or cheque directly to your driving instructor or through the office via debit or credit cards.

At this time we take an additional £62.00 to pay for your driving test fee which we book on your behalf with the DSA. We would then plan and book your lessons accordingly to fit in with your availability and the required timeframe. Please note that you will need to have passed your theory test in order for us to book your practical driving test.

If you decide not to book one of the courses after your initial assessment you pay just for the assessment lesson with no further obligation.
